What about safety?

As much fun as this event is, and having a great time is what the Banned of Brothers annual Machine Gun Shoot is all about, the safety of the shooters, spectators and all who attend is an absolute priority. With all kidding aside we are absolutely serious and committed to the safety of this event and any unsafe actions or behavior will not be tolerated.

These weapons are extremely dangerous, strict safety procedures, responsible shooters and close supervision are a must. Yes, we are all there to have a great time but even the smallest injury would not only be a bad thing for the person injured but would certainly detract from everyone's enjoyment.

With this in mind, we must have rules regarding safety with qualified range officers on hand to closely monitor the firing line as well as the spectators. Anyone who acts in an unsafe manner or refuses to follow the orders of the range officers will be ejected from the event, no exceptions and no refunds, period, end of story.

In truth though, most people that have gone to the time trouble and expense to legally own a Class III weapon are fully aware of the danger involved in operating them and how to conduct themselves in a manner that will not put themselves or anyone attending the event at risk.

To date, no person has ever sustained a serious injury from a firearm of any kind at the Banned of Brothers annual Machine Gun Shoot and we intend on keeping it that way.

Because this is such a serious matter the warning bears repeating - Anyone who acts in an unsafe manner or refuses to follow the orders of the range officers will be ejected from the event, no exceptions and no refunds. If you are ejected from the shoot due to safety violations you will also be permanently disqualified from attending the event in the future. Yes, we are that serious when it comes to safety.
